Who Wants Free Money?

National PTA has a big problem -- Who will get their $1,200,000 of grant funding this year? Can you help them out? It’s easier than you think to make a difference in your school community. See LouisianaPTA.org/programs for ideas on how to use the funds. Applications open August 20 and close on September 24. The PTA must be fully affiliated with Louisiana PTA to qualify. PLEASE take a few minutes to capitalize on this easy opportunity!

Mandeville Training Feedback

If you attended the Mandeville Training, send us your feedback, please. And, again, mea culpa for not distributing some of the prizes better. The live Givebacks courses are scheduled on Sep 3 at noon and Sep 4 at 6:30pm. Details below.

Shreveport Training Day

LAPTA will host the final in-person training day in Shreveport on August 23 at Caddo Magnet High (1601 Viking Dr, Shreveport, LA). We currently have a huge group signed up, but it won't be the same without YOU! Register here. Here are a few notes on what to expect:

Please review the Training Packet before the event. We are not going to cover every line of the packet at training to allow for more discussion time together.
Check-in starts at 8:30 with the event starting at 9:00.
We will have a light breakfast of coffee, fruit, and a few pastries.
We'll have a light lunch of a Southwest potato and salad bar. *We cut back on our food budget to increase our prize budget.

Live Givebacks Webinars

Attend a live webinar to learn all about Givebacks! Valerie Licata, our GB Senior Customer Success Manager, will host the Zoom meetings. To attend, you need to pre-register for each meeting, linked below. LAPTA is working on scheduling other training webinars now. The Zoom registration links will also be posted at LouisianaPTA.org and LouisianaPTA.org/training.
