1) Affiliation Report Due Oct 31

Affiliation Reports are due October 31. This includes the requirements for all PTAs to stay in good standing with the IRS, the state of Louisiana, National PTA, and Louisiana PTA. This is all now submitted through Givebacks.com. Login to npo.givebacks.com, select your PTA, and then from the main dashboard view select Compliance > Submit Forms.

Please make sure the PTA has its Stripe Account set up with Givebacks. Contact Philip Davis with any questions at Affiliation@LouisianaPTA.org.

2) Safety Poster Entries Due Nov 1

The Louisiana Seymore D’Fair Foundation celebrates their Kiki Red Ribbon Week School Celebration every year from October 23 - 31. For this contest, students draw a drug-free poster on regular copy paper. Each Local PTA may submit up to 3 winners per Grade Division. See more at LouisianaPTA.org/contests. Submit entries here.

3) Reflections Theme Search Entries Due Nov 16

As students to help pick the 2026-27 theme that will spark fun and creativity for a future National PTA Reflections program. The theme will inspire students to create works of art in six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. 4) $750 Literacy Grant Applications Due Nov 23

The $750 LAPTA Literacy Grants help Local PTA Units host literacy programs at their affiliated schools. Literacy skills in Louisiana are unacceptably low, and LAPTA and National PTA are making literacy opportunities a priority for our children. For program suggestions, see PTA.org Programs. 5) BONUS PRIZES for the $100 Membership Challenge Winner

LAPTA has its Monthly Membership Challenges where all qualifying PTAs go into a drawing for $100. We've added bonus prizes to that --> LAPTA randomly chooses 2 Board Members from the winning PTA to receive $20 Amazon Gift Cards for their personal use! We wanted to recognize your hard work and dedication. Our next challenge is the Spootacular BOOst Award where the PTA needs to be at 75% of their membership goal.
