Hi, Lovely PTA Leaders!
Most of have just started or are about to start the new school year bringing with it a fresh excitement! We are including the 2024-25 local leader emails for the last time. If you have moved on, please ask your replacement to register with LAPTA. We only have about 25% of our typical PTA Leaders registered for 2025-26. This email is short and sweet focusing on:
1) PTA Leadership Training Day
2) Givebacks account activation
3) LouisianaPTA.org website
Reboot of August Training Days with Giveaways, Prizes, Games, and More!
Come experience the reconfigured training for 2025 on August 16 (Mandeville) and August 23 (Shreveport) with MANY GIVEAWAYS, PRIZES, GAMES, and a fresh, interactive format to increase participation! We are asking attendees to review the Training Packet beforehand so that we can spend our time on the more important things and on discussions.
PLEASE make every effort to have at least one person from your PTA at training. We need all of you to contribute to its success! We are still looking for MORE GIVEAWAYS from local businesses that work with PTAs, especially in Caddo. Contact Beth Maillho at president@LouisianaPTA.org. The second request is that we are looking for vendors to attend training. Please share this vendor sign up link with anyone that works with PTAs.

LAPTA did gain a Board Member from Caddo! Whitney Gates is our new Recording Secretary. Secretary is the "gateway drug" to PTA, as she called it! LOL But we would still like more committee members. We'll talk more about it at training.
