Hello, lovely PTA Leaders! I need to hear from each of you about the upcoming dues increase by completing the survey below.
1) REQUIRED Survey
A dues increase is coming on July 1, 2025. I need to confirm that every PTA is aware of this. Please complete the very quick survey by March 31, 2025. I'll be calling PTAs that don't respond to make sure everyone knows. It is also linked at LouisianaPTA.org home page. See below for details on the dues increase.
2) Upcoming Dues Increase
National PTA voted at its 2024 Convention to increase its dues by $1.00. Starting on July 1, 2025, membership dues that are collected by LAPTA will increase by $1 to $4.50/person. LAPTA retains $1.25 for LAPTA and forwards $3.25 to National PTA. Read more details at The Value of PTA Membership and What National PTA Does to Grow Membership. Local PTAs can increase their dues with the approval of their General Membership. See details on how this is done at LouisianaPTA.org/bylaws.
3) Reflections Winners
Have you notified your Reflections winners yet? See the complete list of winners at LouisianaPTA.org/reflections. We will be in touch soon to schedule a visit to present your winners with their awards, or email Beth Maillho with your preferred date at President@LouisianaPTA.org.!
3) Elections and Transition Time
Have you scheduled elections yet? Don't be caught off guard. It's time to start preparing for elections and planning for the transition to the next Board. Review the steps at LouisianaPTA.org/elections. LAPTA also has positions available for next year, big and small, starting with Treasurer.
